We had our Energy Performance Assessment this week. Not that we are planning to sell but to give us an idea of how we are doing compared to others and if we need for the Renewable Heat Incentive. It was interesting to see the way it is set up and the assumptions that it made.
Our windows were put in at different times and have U values varying from 2.0 to 0.8. As the majority, just were 2.0 this was the figure taken. 60% of our floors are insulated so this was taken as all floors. I can understand why a one size fits all system does this but I suspect from the point of view of deeming for RHI there is going to be some over estimations!
