We also had roofers round to look at our garage roof, it is flat and started to leak at one edge, if we are thinking about further panels on here we need the roof sound first. I need a new project like a hole in the foot.
I also replanted my tomatoes and peppers as they were showing no signs of germinating, adding cucumbers, aubergines, brussels sprouts, aubretia and nicotinia, the brussels have started to germinate already!
On Friday we had the pleasure of attending an exhibition of local artists work, in Livingston. One of our friend's was exhibiting so there was a real ownership and belonging, despite our lack of artisitic skill.
We popped up to the allotment, the ground is now dry enough to walk on so hopefully this week and next we will be able to get the beds laid out and may be start planting.
The start of this week has been dry and bright but cold, so mornings are spent putting the rooms we had taken appart to insulate back together and the warmer part of the day has been spent continuing to dig the new greenhouse area. It is nearly finished but there is an old pond edge that has to be removed and that is a slow job.
The bees have started flying which is great, they are bringing in bright red pollen, and for the first time this year I managed to dry a wash outside. The weather is getting better.
Our first feed-in-tarrif reading was done this week, emailed in and we had confirmation of impending payment the same day. This will hopefully start to off set the installation costs.
So a bitty week, but some projects are getting finished off which is always good.
