Thursday, our kitten went for surgery. She had an abdominal abcess that needed removed. So lots of coming and going and waiting with baited breath. Being a kitten she sailed through it and was as bright as a button that afternoon.
Friday back to the allotment and we managed to complete laying out the beds on the westerly half so felt we were starting to get somewhere.
Saturday was spent dismantling the old greenhouse ready to move it to the front garden. We then spent the afternoon with Clydesdale Astronomy Society looking at the sun and stars, at Wiston lodge. It was great fun and a complete change.
Sunday, we were back to greenhouse bases and putting in the sleepers that will support the long greenhouse.
Today, back to earth with a bump. Kids are at school, husband is at work and I am sorting out planting and a talk about the community garden . I then went to meet a Council Planner to discuss the feasibility of the site. No surprises regarding the fact that there are problems to overcome. They are man made so hopefully will be sortable.
This week I have planted my onions in trays, the ground can still get too waterlogged to plant anything yet. I also transplanted last years oregano and parsley and bought some raspberry canes. I have found a variety of veg in the garden over the last week or so so have cancelled my veg box until it is all used up!
