The shower now has a solid tray and shower board, The existing shower mehanism works well and with being so close to the boiler gives near instantanous heat with minimal waste. The porch door we had dipped and stripped was cut to size and is now on, a far better fit than the previous one, so much so that there is a temperature difference between the kitchen and the back porch!
My dining chairs are 13 years old and the cloth seat pads were showing their age so Mum and I have recovered all 10 of them with recycled leather. They look so much cleaner and are so much easier to clean.
In the middle of all of this my daughter went out two weeks ago for a pound of butter and returned with said butter and a blind kitten. Initally we thought he was suffering from conjunctivitis but once that cleared it is obvious he also has congential eye problems, so we are working with the vet to see what can be done.
This little scrap of a kitten arrived the day after we took the arrival of 6 turkeys for their holidays. Friend of ours had lost their meat chooks to the local fox so asked if we could look after their turkeys while they were away. No problems says I, not realising that they fly, yep right up onto the garage roof with no intention of coming down. I am now very adept at popping up onto the garage roof to launch them back down into their pen! An adventure to say the least.
So we had a tidy house for 5 or ten minutes, it now looks like Gengis Khan has been through but I think everyone enjoyed themselves so that is what matters. Hopefully things will be less frantic now and I will be able to blog more reliably.
