Despite the weather chaos Royal Mail has taken our cards, parcels have arrived ready to be wrapped - some drivers going above and beyond with working late and driving down rutted , snowy streets. Thank you to all of them.
Hopefully the turkey will arrive tomorrow, as will the veg box and then we should be set. I can guarantee that I will find some vital thing at the last minute which I will need to get but hopefully not.
This week I said good-bye to our tumble dryer. It was bought when the kids were in nappies and I haven't used it for a year to see if we could live without it. We did so a local furniture distribution charity took it. I also said goodbye to my old chest freezer - it was nearly as old as me and very inefficiant. It still worked so I had never got round to changing it. However, I now have a new A++ one that uses quarter of the electricity to cool 1.5 to 2 times the volume.
All that is left for me to do is wish you a very Merry Christmas from all of us at Gruinard.
