Again another long spell without blogging. To be fair our computer had a catastrophic failure and the broadband has been intermittent but not for six weeks!
In that time, we have had the window and wall I have been looking at replaced. The immediate result that living room more comfortable to sit in. Within a few days I had to turn down the fuel to the boiler by between 25 and 30%! I have also had to shorten the time the heating is on. It will take a long time to pay for itself but still nice to see.

Use this year shows that our gas consumption has halved, it wasn't that high to start with as it is only for cooking but has reduced since the gas job has been put in and so we only use the Raeburn when we need to.
As for Christmas we are just about organised so from all at Gruinard we wish you a very Happy Christmas and hope 2013 brings you a fertile garden with many successes.
