This week walking back from school I picked the last of the wild raspberries for jam.
In the greenhouse I transplanted some basil into pots which will hopefully see me through some of the winter. I have also transplanted some thyme waiting to go in the beds once our solar panels are installed.
In the veg garden I lifted some carrots and replaced them with brussel sprouts that I had grown in a nursery trench - a row down one side of a raised bed as I am not organised enough yet to have a nursery bed. I also cleared out some peas Valor that did very poorly this year though am picking plenty from Rampant - a franchi variety see links. The beans are comimg on and the onions are ready.
In the greenhouse I sowed some salad seeds in a tray, I got the idea from a shop where we holiday who sell trays of grown salad as cut and come again.
The bees had their Apistan strips inserted and the varroa board cleaned to see how many varroa drop.
