Believe it or not I have just come in from mowing the lawn, yes on the 21st of November! The grass has grown so much since the last cutting and the rabbits are now off the grass and round the back on bark - this keeps them cleaner and drier over the wetter days of winter.
The week has been dominated by tidying up the front garden ready to pick up our caravan after it's annual service. I'm sure I've said before that we are planning to sell our caravan and the trailer tent this winter and buy a folding camper for the next season. Along with this we are looking at updating our dying Skoda Fabia with a Vauxhall Zafira on LPG. The weather was kind on Saturday and we had a good run down and back from Dumfries.
I have also been tussling with birthday presents. My husbands birthday is this week, but what to buy. In the end I have bought him a 12 cup cafetiere as this uses less energy than a coffee maker and our coffee maker is about 20 years old. Getting a cover to keep the coffee warm has turned out to be more of a problem than I had expected and so my daughter and I set to while the boys were out and made an insulated cover out of an old T-shirt - it looks brilliant.
And my final bit for the week. I was buying presents from Oxfam unwrapped and discovered they have a second hand clothes site, it was excellent. Next time I need new clothes I know where I'm going first!
