This week the main focus was getting all our camping equipment into the camper following the repair work done on it earlier this year. I never cease to be amazed how much stuff can be packed into a small space. Yet again what was a small
Mountain of equipment packed into the two cupboards and two drawers.
We were lucky that the day we opened the camper was dry and not too cold or snowy. However, the rest of the week has not been so kind, and again we have fared better that much of the rest of the country.
We also cleaned out the heating system this week. Our plumber put in cleanser when putting in the new bathroom radiators, I then emptied it out and washed out any residue before he came back and put in inhibitor, which essentially limits corrosion in the radiators. This process should have cleaned out any sludge which will limit the systems ability to heat and make the system last longer.
Not surprisingly I have done little in the garden this week, though I have been working on setting up the hot composted from our old bath and this coming week intend to start trimming some trees and overgrown hedges. To this end my husband has tidied and reorganised the garage to make access to the shredder etc easier. We spent a couple of hours in the garage this week, cleared out a load of old paint pots and unused items, which have gone to be reused or recycled, with a small amount to land fill. This has made the garage more useable as well.
Looking at the weather for the coming week, I think it will be more clearing out and hedge trimming as I think it will be a while before we can start digging!
