Well life has returned to routine. Last week the kids were at school Tuesday to Friday. With my eldest starting Secondary School, adult Karate and a new dance class last year's routine has gone, it was hard work. However, we will make a new routine. Both kids seem to be happy with new teachers etc so I can't complain.
As planned I returned to under floor insulation. Infact I got the whole section finished in a week so I am really pleased. I am now draft proofing the room before putting down new underlay and the carpet. No doubt this door will need raised as well I'll wait and see.
The garden continues to give us potatoes, tomatoes, lettuce and peas. The fennel is coming on well and the herb garden has been amazing. We are picking courgettes as well. The weeds are growing well as well.
I moved the rabbits onto the lawn this week. This had been my intention from the start but for a variety of reasons it had never happened. However, I am glad I did they are so happy and are cutting the grass nicely.
We had a power cut last Wednesday and following this the boiler stopped working - no hot water. When I went looking this was because the screw that takes the pellets from the hopper to the boiler had emptied the centre of the pile and now was trying to fill from a whole. We opened up the hopper, raked the pellets flat and it alls tarted working as normal. I think we have used 2 - 2.5 tonnes of pellets since the start of January.
