Onich, Glencoe, Scotland
We had a four day holiday to the Caravan Club site on the banks of Loch Linnhe is beautiful. As all Caravan Club sites it is nicely laid out and well run. We pitched right beside the play park, for our ten year old son. It was also beside the toilet block. Despite the noise of playing childrent hrough the day there was little noise after 9pm and none after 10pm. Perfect.
The site is less than a thirty minute walk from the Corran Ferry, which is free to foot passengers and takes you to Ardgour and some lovely sandy/shingle beaches. Nice for fishing great for the kids and dogs. You can also sit and have a pint at the Ardgour Inn, though there is no real ale on draught. It also sadly faces east so is in shadow at the end of the day, but still very pleasant.
We also had a meal at the Clachaig on the Glencoe side of Glencoe Village, sat out in the sunshine. They are the only place I know where you can have a meal with the dogs. The meal was lovely, the beer, real ale 6 or 8 on tap, the service, the clientel and the scenery were perfect.
