Internal doors

Our kitchen is north facing with a porch on the north east wall. Thus it can be a cold room. The door between the kitchen and the porch was a honeycomb internal door with gaps around it. 2 nearly 3 years aago we were given a turn of last centuary four panel wooded back door to replace our internal door. The new to us door needed the paint stripped off it before being cut to size. We looked round for the best option for stripping the paint off. Locally we could have had it hand done for over £100 which is outwith our budget (2011 price). So after much reflection we had it chemically dipped and stripped for £23. We then sanded and varnished it before having it hung by the local joiner. The result is a virtually draft free beautiful door for less than £50.
