RAB genesis 3 sleeping bag review
We are great believers in reusing items when we can. However, as I have said elsewhere reusing soft furnishings and other items that can't be washed on a hot wash runs the risk of introducing insects into the house that can be difficult to remove, and insurance compaines don't cover. So we make sure we know where things come from.
So when our son needed a sleeping bag for Scouts I went looking for a sleeping bag, not really looking for eco credentials. Our daughter uses my 5 season sleeping bag bought in 1986 and still strong, so I started from a standing start. I wanted a synthetic one as I feel they are more robust for a 10 year old. After much hunting and review reading the RAB genesis 3 kept coming up as a good option. It is also 99% recycled but doesn't have a stuff sack as it couldn't be made from recycled materials!
It certainly looks well made and is too warm to sleep in in the house, so we will need to watch and see how things go. I'll let you know.
